 Title: Should the school ban unhealthy food

Everyone knows that unhealthy food should be banned in schools because it causes many diseases such as cancer, obesity,  Diabetes,  Hypertension, and more. 

It is obvious that school canteens should sell much healthier  food and  give them much more water milk and beverages For example  kids argue about the cafeteria.Some of the        kids say that they sell disgusting food and they would like some yummy food like pies and cake but i think they should give the kids some healthy food so they can be fit and strong.

Another important point is that schools should have more gardens and trees so they can have a healthier life and they can harvest and eat. Cause if they don’t have any fruits and veggies then they are going to get diseases like diabetes.

In addition to that, when it is someone’s birthday and they are celebrating it at school, then make sure you look carefully at the food and tell yourself what is the right thing to eat. Because think carefully about what you are eating cause there might be heaps of sugar and heaps of salt in the food.

To review what happened about this text that i read about should schools  banned unhealthy food, I read that they should sell healthy food and they should be grateful cause  the people that sell the food in the cafeteria are working very hard and they stayed all day to cook while you guys work so remember be grateful and  always have positive attitude.

Autumn Poem

Autumn is a season to plant fruit and vegetables.
Under my feet as I walk I can hear my feet crunch on the leaves.
Trees surround me with acorns falling down.

Under the tree I sit there hearing the birds chirp.
March is where Autumn starts.

Spring poem

As I am walking I can smell the fresh spring air, amazing flowers bloom with citrus all around the park.The perfume that I am wearing just smells like the red roses.

The bees and butterflies are attracted to the trees and flowers.Vibrant colours come out on the flowers in spring.When you are walking in the park you have some peace and quiet.

You are relaxing underneath the Alexandra tree. Jasmine flowers growing everywhere.

Insects live all around the world except for Antarctica.

Nectar is eaten by bees.

Spiders are not insects

Everyone finds insects in the long grass.

Caterpillars can turn into a beautiful butterfly.

The insect falls asleep in the cold.

My holiday

Yesterday night I went to go watch the Lion King. I went with my 2 uncles my aunty and their 3 kids. When we arrived, my uncle bought me a Simba cup and a lion king popcorn tin. Then we sat down and waited until it was 8:40,we went inside the cinema and waited or the movie to start because ads were coming up.5 minutes later the movie and I got so excited.It was half way through the movie and I cried because Scar killed Mufasa and blamed Simba. When the movie was almost finished, Nala and Simba got married and had another son.

I felt happy I watch it ten times. It was a great movie.

My holiday

In the weekend I went to the movies with my two older sisters Rexi and Evelyn. We went to watch the Lego Movie 2 at West City. 

First we went to go get snacks for the movie at Countdown. Then we went to go buy popcorn and then we went to the cinema. After the movie we went to Mcdonalds to eat. I ate a Big Mac and drank a frozen coke. After that we went home and watched movies all night.

I had so much fun I wish I could do that again.

All about the heart

We have been learning about the heart in Room 9. I hope you learn some interesting facts from my slide presentation.

My autumn poem

Autumn is a time to relax your body from the summer that has been.

Under the tall trees I can feel the crispy old leaves falling against me.

Trees are tall and they have very beautiful leaves.

 Under my head I can feel crispy old dry leaves that have fallen off the tree.

Many leaves come falling down to play with me.

Near me are crispy dry leaves that have fallen down gently.

The forest

In the distance, I can see dark skinny trees surrounding me.
I can hear my dog barking to chirping happily in the trees.
I can feel the warm bright sun shining on me.
I can smell the yummy food as I walk past the houses.
I can taste the cold clear water going down my throat.
Hazel and her dog Carlos went for a walk because Carlos was ripping pillows and being naughty.

The digestive system

In room 9, we have been learning about the digestive system and what each organs job is. I hope you learn something from my slideshow.

Food for Thought

You can’t believe what my class and I did.

Yesterday my class and I went to Pak’n Save to read the labels of food products. When we went to Pak’n Save. We got into to small groups with 1 adult. I was with Miss Maruariki.


the colour of the fruits and vegetables. After writing that down we went to go write some labels of the food.

Then we went to go back to our original spot. Then we got lunch boxes and a $60 gift card. From school to Pak’n Save we learnt how to eat healthy food and how to read healthy food labels so we know what we are putting into our bodies.
