Kia ora Lesley, well done for sharing your maths strategy. I do agree with Viliami M with using multiplication in solving repeated addition but for now, get really confident with using addition then you can use multiplication. If you need some help you are more than welcome to ask Room 7 for help.
Good job on solving the problem. I think using addition is good, you could put into 8 x 5 to make sound more complicated.
